Light Drawing (2024)
This project explores the intersection of long exposure photography, robotic motion controlled via Grasshopper, and Python coding, merging art and technology to produce visually compelling, tiled image assemblies. Using KR-6 robots equipped with light-emitting end-effectors, I programmed precise toolpaths that choreograph the light’s movement, capturing patterns through long exposure techniques. These paths result in unique image “tiles,” each contributing to an overall composition that is both cohesive and rich in intricate relationships. The assembly, composed of at least four distinctive tiles, builds a broader visual narrative, where each tile’s position and interaction with adjacent ones are thoughtfully arranged to reveal an overarching pattern and dynamic visual flow.
