CNC Knit Facade (2025)
My roles included: producing knit patterns on the STOLL CMS CNC knitting machine, coding of the Arduino and Firefly (Grasshopper), and the fabrication of the pneumatic system.
This sensory, haptic knit facade uses Firefly for Grasshopper to produce three levels of user-controlled inflation on custom-made silicone bladders set within a custom CNC knitted sleeve. The knit pattern was derived over a semester-long process where students learned the methods of using the STOLL CMS CNC knitting machine
